What we refund
In short
We do not refund the unused part of a period, but we refund three kinds of payment in full.
Paid plans are billed in advance. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for. We do not refund the unused part of a period, and switching to a smaller plan takes effect at your next renewal rather than refunding the difference. The Free plan is the way to try the service before you pay, so a first payment is not refunded for a change of mind.
We refund in full: an annual renewal, if you ask within 7 days of the renewal charge; a duplicate charge, or one you should not have received; and a payment for a period in which the service failed you, or where the law where you live gives you a right to a refund.
Our payment provider can only return a payment within 30 days of it, so ask as soon as you notice.
How to ask
In short
Email us from the workspace owner's address. A person reads every request.
Email hello@shortzen.io from the address of the workspace owner, with the workspace name and the date and amount of the payment. A person reads every request and replies with the outcome.
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which sells the subscription to you as merchant of record. You can also ask Dodo Payments for a refund under its buyer terms.
What a refund does
In short
The money goes back to how you paid. A full refund of your current period ends the plan; a refund of an earlier payment does not.
A refund goes back to the card or account you paid with. Your bank usually shows it within 5 to 10 business days.
A full refund of the payment for your current period ends your plan at once, and the workspace moves to the free plan. Your links keep redirecting. A refund of an earlier payment leaves your current plan as it is.
Before you dispute a charge
In short
Ask us first: a refund is quicker than a card dispute, and a dispute pauses your plan.
If a charge looks wrong, email us before you dispute it with your bank. A refund is usually quicker than a dispute, and while a dispute is open your plan is paused until your bank decides.
